The scent really isn’t strong at all when applied, and it works better than the Mitchum deodorant and Gold Bond I’ve been using for years. I use the stick for direct application under my arms and breasts, and apply it to my fingers to use on my thighs. I have no sensitivity with it, and it works great not only as a deodorant but also for under my breasts and my inner thigh area. I’m really glad I gave it a try because it has helped tremendously. I bought the Lume Clean Tangerine creme stick deodorant, and at first wasn’t sure if I liked the smell, but I was going to use it anyway since it was pricey. I’ve been using Gold Bond powder spray for my inner thighs where they meet the groin, and under the breast area, but it causes burning sometimes seriously painful. I decided to try Lume not only for the deodorant properties but also for issues stemming from yeast and rashes due to sweating from exercise and just Texas heat in general. I have issues with sensitivity because so many deodorants cause me to have painful rashes or itching. For those breaking out after use, you need to realize that this product is resetting your PH balance, so a breakout may be temporary as your body heals itself. Not that it's a habit, but missing a daily shower happens sometimes! The cost over store bought soap is very much worth the extra money to not worry about if your Dial, Dove, or what ever name brand you currently use is working past one hard sweaty day! I give this product 2 thumbs up and will continue to purchase this product! PH balance is essential to your body and regular soap does not address this fact, it only covers the problem up! P.S. No, your not going to come out of the shower smelling Irish Spring clean like a leprechaun, just lightly fragranced and a lot less stinky! As for the power to last up to 72 hours, I believe it to be true because it certainly can pass a sniff test at 48 hours.
You have to give the product a chance to adjust your PH levels. ( 6 months as of this review) So, this product (soap and occasionally cream deoderant) really do work as advertised. I have 2 stinky areas ( mostly in the summer when I'm working and sweating a lot ) and after 2 weeks of use there was a noticable difference. Well a day or 3 use will not yield results, and you will not notice a difference! You literally have to give it a week to 10 days. This product actually works quite well! I see most of the recent reviews complain about it not working and the smell, medicinal? Well not really! Could use a dash more fragrance though.
